Thames, Another double-sided Scarf

I fhinshed my second double-sided colorwork scarf few weeks ago. It took me about a month to fhinshed it since I was kinda busy this semester. But I love it so much!

This is paired with my last double-side color work scarf. I use the same pattern but in different colorway.
I think they both came out good. These two are both ordered by one of my friend. This one is about 200cm long.

I think I fall for double-side knitting.lol. Although you need more time to knit your scarf but the warmth would be doubled as well.
I love this pattern but I don't want to knit it again since I already knit twice in a very short period. I'd love to try something else. There're too much beautiful pattern waiting me to knit!

Since these two colors are both light colors, it was driving me crazy to knit the pattern! But light gray and
aspic purple is really made for each other:D

The yarn's 50% merion(50g/110m) from a local yarn seller. I used 5.7mm needle to knit and used about 7 balls of yarn totally that means about 175g for each color.

It's very hot lately but I still want to wear it and take a pic:)

My next project is also a double-sided scarf but I design the pattern this time:) It's a birthday gift for my firend Zeki! And I'll start the ISE10 project soon and progress them at the same time. The ISE10 project for my pal was already chosen and I have the yarn by hand as well. So excited!!!

Best wish for everyone and happy Mothers' Day !

with love,xo

My ISE9 Scarf

I know it's very late but here's my ISE9 scarf from my pal Karrie.
I'm not sure when the scarf was arrived actually but I opened it at the last day of 2010, to celebrite the coming 2011!I can't believe it's March now! Time flies...
The scarf was warpped in a very lovely blue and white checked warpping paper. There's a card and a little collection of lovely buckles. I love them so much. Still thinking of where to use them....
And here comes the scarf! What can I say...it's my dream scarf! I always want to own a striped scarf in red and white but I didn't write it in the questionnaire. Karrie did it anyway. It's so amazing:) There are three buckles at ecah side of the scarf in differend theme,Valentine and Christmas. They make this cute scarf extra adorable. And I love the ruffles too! Thank you Karrie:)
There's an extra skein of yarn in beatuiful color called bluebird. Still finding a good pattern to knit:)

Forget to mention...Kerrie sewed a lovely red spotted febric at the back of the scarf! I never think of this way to design the scarf! It makes the scarf so unique and adorable!
Thanks my wonderful pal Karrie for preparing such great swap for me. And thanks my downstream pal, Lisa, who's very kind and patience. Last but not least, thank you the most wonderful host Leah, to gave as all a great experience of scarf exchange.

Can't wait for the brand new ISE10...what a perfect number!lol.

Victorian Scarf for ISE9

Hey there! I was  busy focousing on my study and blog less the past monthes. I joined ISE8 and had a very great experience so when Leah decied to host the new round, I just had to sign in! It's so much fun to knit for someone and make new friends all around the world.
This is the scarf I made for my pal. I fall for the pattern the first time I saw it. Then I found a beautiful yarn. After I got the yarn I orderd, I tried several patterns but back to the first eventually. I didn't block it before taking these pics.

My friend Zeki came to visit me this weekend. Zeki is studying abroad at New Zealand and comes back for her summer break(yeah, summer!). When she saw this scarf, she said there's lots of people at New Zealand are great at knitting like this, but they're older. She thinks I'm strang to have knitting as my hobby at the age of 19. lol. But I'm still beyond good, there's still much to learn.
I chose this summer yarn from a local yarn seller since my pal is located at a not very cold place. It has a very beautiful name, Asian Beauty. The color is sky blue. 40g/104M. I use 7mm needles, knit two yarn together. The pattern is Victorian Scarf, free from knit picks.
This is the first time I try laced pattern and summer yarn. I love this bamboo/cotton(60%/40%) mixed yarn very much! It's so smooth and comfy! I think it would be great to knit into a tank top or vest for hot summer days!
Enlarge the pattern! Now I'm going to warp the scarf!

I really had a great fun with my dearest friend Zeki this weekend. We can only met once or twice a year. But I'm planning a trip to New Zealand and visit her next Summer!!

Have a great day! Christmas is almost coming:)

Weekend project

This is what I'm working on lately. It's a scarf for a dear friend.
It's autumn now that means winter is coming. Time to shop for yarns!!

I take Spanish this semester. It's a little hard but fun. I think French is much harder than Spanish.
I'm preparing some outift shoot and handmade stuff for atelier de ruban. I'm so excited for this new blog.
